Simple drinks are my jam. Vodka and Soda Water. Rum and Diet Coke. Sparkling Ice and Vodka. Served over ice and you have a simple, delicious cocktail. This spring break we went to Sanibel Island for a week of relaxation. One of the first things we do when we rent a VRBO or Airbnb for vacation is to hit the grocery store and liquor store. Since we were vacationing alone, I knew a gin bucket a day was going to be overkill, but I want a light and refreshing drink to sip on all week. Insert Fresca
and Gin for the win all week long. 
Fresca and gin is a sparkling lemon-lime cocktail that is a close cousin to the gin bucket punch with the simple combining of Fresca soda with Rangpur Gin.
Fresca and Gin Cocktail
If you are looking for the perfect beach drink, look no farther than this Fresca and gin cocktail. It is light and citrusy with just the right amount of tartness with the sweetness. I drank these every single day on the beach and never grew tired of the Fresca and gins.
Fresca is a unique soda. Don't think you can just substitute sprite or ginger ale. Not every lemon-lime soda is a Fresca. I don't normally buy Fresca but felt like being daring so grabbed a two-liter bottle. I am telling you it just like drinking a gin bucket with just the Fresca.
With each sunrise would come a big glass of Fresca and Gin, after my half a pot of coffee of course. The sunrises were spectacular on Sanibel Island.
I could live on this beach forever. The smaller crowds and mounds of seashells made the vacation so enjoyable.
Soon, it would be time to hit the beach. I would grab my Yeti #CattleTales and fill it up with Fresca and Gin to chill all midday for me while I would have my toes in the sand.
The Fresca and Gin can be fancied up with a few slices of lemon or limes. And if you don't have them, don't worry, you are still going to have a new favorite gin cocktail to sip on poolside.

Fresca and Gin
Ingredients
- 1 cup Fresca soda
- ¼ cup Rangpur Gin by Tanqueray
- 1 lemon
- 1 lime
Instructions
- In 12-ounce or larger glass, fill with ice.
- Pour the gin over the ice. Top off with the Fresca soda.
- Garnish with lemon and lime slices.

I'M USED TO THE OLD FRESCA. I'VE TRIED BUYING FRESCA SEVERAL TIMES RECENTLY, BUT ALL I CAN FIND IS CLEAR FIZZY WATER THAT HAS BARELY A HINT OF FLAVOR. DID THE OLD CLOUDY/MISTY ZESTY GRAPEFRUITY FRESCA GET DISCONTINUED? THEY EVEN CALL THE NEW FRESCA SODA "WATER" NOW. IS THAT WHAT THIS RECIPE CALLS FOR? I CAN'T SEE ANY OF THE NEW FRESCA FIZZY WATER FLAVORS STANDING UP TO GIN IN A DRINK.

Fresca isn’t lemon lime it’s grapefruit flavoured. You’d be better off adding a slice of grapefruit to your drink. Your info here is wrong.

Fresca is not a lemon lime soda. It is a grapefruit soda. That is why it does not taste like sprite or 7up

One of our summer time favorites! We prefer Bombay Gin. We will definitely have to fancy it up with a lemon or lime slice! We sometimes have difficulty finding Fresca in our area, so we tend to stock up in the summer months 🙂

Squirt soda works, too. It’s like the old Fresca with sugar. Fresca now is a light/diet artificial sweetener drink.
This drink is also called a Lankerro in Finland - aka the Finnish Long Drink.

Fresca is not like lemon lime because it is grapefruit. Which makes is a wonderful diversion! In fact, I was in the kitchen and it occurred to me that Fresca would make a great companion to gin. And I found our post! Thank you. I'll give it a try. I think that I saw another brand Polar that is both grapefruit and lemon lime. IN fact, it has the identical fruit pic as what you show for Fresca. Methinks that they are under same brand umbrella.

Thanks! Although I've used Rangpur Lime, I prefer to add Tanqueray Sevilla Orange to Fresca. To my taste, the orange compliments the grapefruit flavour somewhat better than lime. Specifically:
From one 500ml bottle of Fresca remove 100ml (drink it or dump it) and replace with 100ml of Tanqueray Sevilla Orange. I find this to be one of the most enjoyable beverages I have ever imbibed in my 78 years!
