I have a lot of friends who count down till the summer beers hit the liquor store shelves. It seems like once Summer Shandy is out on store shelves we can all start celebrating having lived through the winter months. The beautiful thing about summer beers is they are full of citrus. But sometimes I can't pick. Which is why the combining of the Blue Moon beer with the Summer Shandy creates magic in the beer cocktail I have named the Summer Moon beer.

Summer Moon Beer

The combination of beers to form a new beer seems like a crazy move. The recipe for a beer is unique. The flavors of the Belgian white wheat beer found in the blue moon combined with Leinenkugel's summer shandy combines two wheat beers that have complimentary citrus flavors. To get started, grab a 24 ounce or larger glass.

Pouring the beers together marries the orange and the lemon essence to form the perfect combo for a pool side drink. Garnishing this drink can be left to you. Throw both a lemon and an orange into the glass if you feel like it. Regardless, enjoy the summer and have a summer moon for me.
